OUR STORY
We opened up officially in 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and we never looked back. The goal was always to make a living out of being kind and open to everyone and y'all made it a true pleasure to serve you.

You can find us centrally located in the historic Oakwood neighborhood of Raleigh, NC, and also at our sister location near Perry's steakhouse across from Crabtree Valley Mall on Creedmoor RD.

The Optimist feels like a lived in local haunt, all are welcome, and we'll never ask you for you political views or tell you what your coffee should taste like. The only thing we ask is that you treat others the way you would like your friends to be treated, and don't do anything you'll have to feel guilty about later.

SIGNATURE TREATS
We change our menu seasonally but have several Signature eats and drinks that are consistent throughout the year for you to enjoy.
Ask about our Chai, made from scratch from our sister company "DearlyDeparted Chai" or our Stacey latte, a rich indulgent honey, cinnamon, and vanilla concoction.
Our food is equally indulgent, made with fresh ingredients, and crafted in house, from our popular "Hulk Smash" avocado toast to our classic take on a breakfast sandwich "the Basic", add syrup to make it a "McOptimist".
